Inelastic Dark Matter at High Recoil and the LZ Event
Abstract:
I will go over the basics of inelastic dark matter models and their detection at high recoil energies in nuclear recoil dark matter searches (1608.02662). Inelastic dark matter has recently drawn interest, since the LZ experiment reported detecting a single nuclear recoil event with an energy of around 250 keV.
The McDonald Institute seminar will be held in Stirling 401 and streamed live to the McDonald Institute YouTube channel.
