Mark Richardson
Associate Director, Operations (Research Centres & Institutes)
Mark Richardson is the Associate Director, Operations (Research Centres & Institutes [RCIs]) at the Vice-Principal, Research portfolio at Queen’s University, supporting the operations of the McDonald Institute. Mark provides strategic leadership to the McDonald Institute, supporting their administration and operations, as well as financial management and accountability. Mark also works with the institute to identify sustainment opportunities.
Mark was previously the Manager for Education and Public Outreach for the McDonald Institute, and before this he had research and education roles at the American Museum of Natural History in New York City, and Oxford University. Mark completed his PhD in Astrophysics at Arizona State University in 2014. Mark earned a BSc in Honours Astrophysics in 2009 from Saint Mary’s University in his hometown of Halifax.
