TEDxSaclay featuring “Nobel Trio” panel discussion

This Thursday, June 24th, is the TEDxSaclay conference where there will be a special “Nobel Trio” panel event with Dr. Art McDonald, Dr. Donna Strickland and Dr. Gérard Mourou at 9:30 am EST. The panel is co-moderated by Prof. Aaron Vincent and addresses the role of physics research as it relates to the TEDxSaclay theme of “Terre, notre vaisseau”, or “Earth, our ship.” Queen’s University Principal Patrick Deane will be giving some opening remarks to the panel. He will speak to the role universities play in steering and supporting Earth through the social impact of research and education.

The Nobel Trio panel will be presented in English, with live French translations, and the rest of the conference will be in French, with live English translations.
