Mark Chen
Gordon and Patricia Gray Chair in Particle Astrophysics, Professor – Queen’s University
Prof. Chen is an experimental neutrino physicist specializing in liquid scintillator rare-event searches, neutrino physics and dark matter. He is the Principal Investigator and Director of the SNO+ Experiment. He is also investigating novel liquid scintillator detection methods through the upcoming LiquidO experiment. Prof. Chen’s work encompasses most experiment phases, including hardware research and development, detector installation and commissioning, chemistry operations, calibrations, data analysis in neutrino physics, and applications of machine learning.
