Graduate Student Position – McDonald Institute HQP Seminar Coordinator

Job Summary

The McDonald Institute HQP Advisory Committee is seeking a dedicated individual to lead the organization of the monthly MI HQP Seminar Series. This position requires approximately four hours per month to be dedicated to finding and recruiting speakers, as well as hosting the monthly seminar. The organizer will also communicate with speakers to promote their talks, write the monthly McDonald Institute newsletter announcement, and send reminders prior to the seminar date.

The McDonald Institute will facilitate the casual contract, which pays a rate of $20.44/h. 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Currently a member of the astroparticle physics HQP community in Canada: Graduate student, postdoc, or early career researcher, technician, or engineer studying or working in, or on a project connecting to astrparticle physics.
  • Interested in communications and community building.
