Application Deadline: 2025/12/01 11:59PM
The High Energy Physics group at York University is inviting applications for McDonald Institute (MI) Theory Fellowships in the field the areas of theoretical particle physics, astro-particle physics, and phenomenology, to work with Professors Sean Tulin and Nikita Blinov. Candidates with interests in dark matter physics are especially encouraged to apply. Top-ranked applications will be sent to the MI Theory Evaluation committee, who will allocate fellowships. First round offers will be made in December.
Applicants must have completed a Ph.D. in theoretical physics by the start of the appointment and have a record of research excellence. The appointment is for two years, beginning fall 2026, with an extension to a third year upon mutual agreement.
As part of the application process, we expect applicants to complete a short, voluntary demographic survey to support the McDonald Institute’s Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Indigenization (EDII) efforts.
