Ziqing is an astroparticle physicist whose focus is in cryogenics and experiment hardware research and development for dark matter searches and physics beyond the standard model. He is one of the leads for the growing astroparticle physics group at the University of Toronto and his work focuses on SuperCDMS and Ricochet. Ziqing is the principal investigator at the University of Toronto for Ricochet, an experiment using a research nuclear reactor to investigate Coherent Elastic neutrino-Nucleus Scattering (CEšœˆNS) signals. SuperCDMS is an ultra-sensitive dark matter detector in its commissioning phase. Ziqingā€™s work in both experiments includes all experimental phases in addition to data analysis and software development.
