Prof. Marie-Cécile Piro is an astroparticle physicist whose expertise encompasses theory, developing novel detection technology, data analysis, and simulations in the pursuit of dark matter detection. She is primarily engaged with the NEWS-G and SBC experiments, and is also affiliated with DEAP-3600 and PICO. Prof. Marie-Cécile Piro is one of the leads for the particle physics research group at the University of Alberta and is a member of the Arthur B. McDonald Astroparticle Physics Research Institute (McDonald Institute).
