This position represents an open-ended call for applicants. Applications and communications from qualified, interested candidates are welcome at any time. The position will be removed when it has been filled.

This position is open to those pursuing an undergraduate degree in physics, computer science, mathematics, or related equivalent who have a strong interest in software development for automating redundant tasks. This opportunity is flexible in term, and may be an honours thesis, capstone project, or a co-op research project.

The successful candidate will work on the development of a software toolkit for waveform analysis  under the supervision of Prof. Fabrice Retière at TRIUMF in Vancouver, British Columbia. On-site work will be a major component of this position, and the project includes working with novel detection techniques as well as state of the art optics equipment.

The project would include the creation, development, documenting, and testing of a comprehensive software toolkit to be used by the wider scientific community.

Interested candidates are encouraged to contact Fabrice to apply. Please note that the deadline to discuss summer research positions is typically April annually, and honours projects should be negotiated and set in place by the Winter/Spring semester before the candidates final year of study.
