This position is open to those with or finishing an undergraduate degree in physics, engineering, or related equivalent who have a strong interest in experiment strategy and neutrinos. This opportunity is to be a 2 year Master’s of Science (MSc) project.Domestic and International candidates are welcome to apply.

The successful candidate will work on a strategy for the selecting silicon photomultipliers (SiPMs) to be used in the nEXO experiment under the supervision of Prof. Fabrice Retière at TRIUMF in Vancouver, British Columbia. On-site work will be a major component of this position, and the project includes working with cutting edge neutrino detecting technology as well as the experiment development process.

The potential project would include the development and implementation of the strategy for testing and selecting 10,000 SiPMs for the nEXO experiment when construction begins in 2022.
