Graduate Position, McGill University – TITAN

This position is open to those with or finishing an undergraduate degree in physics, or related equivalent who have a strong interest in neutrinos and their underlying processes. This opportunity is flexible in term, and may be a 2 year Master’s of Science (MSc) or 4 year Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) position depending on if the successful candidate already holds an MSc.Domestic and International candidates are welcome to apply.

The successful candidate will work on the TRIUMF’s Ion Trap for Atomic and Nuclear science team (TITAN). TITAN measures the mass of short-lived isotopes to a high precision and contributes to fundamental science. TITAN is located at TRIUMF in Vancouver, British Columbia. This project is under the supervision of Prof. Thomas Brunner at McGill University in Montréal, Québec. On-site and on-campus work will be a major component of this position.

The potential project would include tasks suited to the candidates experience and interest. Opportunities exist for hardware development, construction, coding, and simulations.
